The case study
The brief
Plastic Futures makes furniture that looks like it was blown up rather than built. Photographing it honestly made it look cheap.
What we did
We stopped photographing it. The entire catalogue is art-directed in 3D, lit with one soft area light and one hard rim, so the plastic reads as expensive instead of hollow.
The result
A catalogue that can add a colourway in an afternoon, and a look nobody in the category can shoot their way into.
